PREL’s sponsorship of Peterborough United

Peterborough United have unveiled the new EnergyPark Peterborough away kit ahead of the League One Play Off Finals at Old Trafford on Sunday.  The black Nike shirt was shown to the squad on Monday and got a big thumbs up from players, including defender Gabriel Zakuani.

A picture of the shirt can be seen online http://www.theposh.com/page/Gallery/0,,10427~2365478,00.html and they will be available to buy from the Posh Club Shop from 9am on Wednesday.  Adult shirts will be £40 and children’s priced at £30.

The Green Energy Parks team are looking forward to travelling to Manchester to cheer on the Posh and see the shirt debuted at the weekend.

English soccer club signs Posh deal with Energypark firm

English League One soccer club Peterborough United have signed a new shirt sponsorship deal with Peterborough Renewable Energy Limited (PREL).

Promotion-chasing Posh have signed a two-season agreement, valued at US$300,000 per annum, which will see PREL’s Energypark logo emblazoned across the front of the club’s three shirts.

The deal will apply throughout the 2011/12 and 2012/13 English soccer seasons.

Bob Symns, chief executive of Peterborough United, said: “This is an excellent partnership for both the football club and our new partners PREL, and is the result of many months of protracted discussions and meetings by our commercial department. PREL will have a massive impact on the future of our city and its Energypark will be at the centre of sustaining and improving our environment.”

PREL’s Energypark, a US$412 million development in the Fengate area of Peterborough, is currently under construction and should become fully operational within the next four years.

Chris Williams, managing director of PREL, said: “We get involved in the community and as a Peterborough-based company, we are very keen to support our local club. It is going to be pretty special to see our logo on the front of the Peterborough United shirts. It is not normal for a company in its early years to be doing this kind of sponsorship, but for us it makes tremendous sense and we will be very proud to see the team run out of the tunnel with our logo on their shirts.”

Peterborough United hope the secure a place in the Championship next season by winning the League One Play-Offs. Posh face Milton Keynes Dons in a two-legged semi-final, hoping to advance to the Play-Off Final on Sunday 29th May at Old Trafford, home of Manchester United.

Npower Championship chasing Peterborough United Football Club has agreed a new two-year, six-figure sponsorship deal with Peterborough Renewable Energy Limited (PREL).

PREL’s embelm will be branded on all three Peterborough shirts. New Posh sponsorship deal announced (Peterborough Evening Telegraph)

Peterborough United have agreed a six-figure shirt sponsorship deal with Peterborough Renewable Energy Limited (PREL).

The deal announced on Tuesday, will see Posh receive an undisclosed six-figure sum in each year of the two-year deal which starts from next season. The company’s Energypark logo will be on the front of all three Posh shirts.

Posh Chief Executive Bob Symns said: “It’s a great deal for the club. This is an excellent partnership for the club and our new partners. PREL will have a massive impact on on the future of our city.”

Peterborough Renewable Energy Ltd (PREL) is proud to announce that they will be the new shirt sponsors of the Peterborough United, “The Posh”. The company’s Energypark logo will be emblazoned across the front of all three kits. The press release from Peterborough United is below.

Peterborough United would like to announce that following progressive negotiations a new shirt sponsorship deal has been agreed with Peterborough Renewable Energy Limited (PREL).

Chief executive Bob Symns said, “This is an excellent partnership for both the football club and our new partners PREL and is the result of many months of protracted discussions and meetings by our commercial department. PREL will have a massive impact on the future of our city and its Energypark will be at the centre of sustaining and improving our environment.”

The initial term of the six figure agreement is for two years and the Energypark logo will be emblazoned across the front of all three kits.
